When Danny was in Tampa on Friday I heard on WQYK that you could go in that morning to hear him do sound check. I ran straight from the trainer to the Dallas Bull. I did not actually think I would get to meet him, but hearing him do sound check was good enough for me. I watched him on American Idol last year and when he got voted off I stopped watching. I actually got to meet Danny on Friday and it made my life. I've been struggling with illness and stuff recently, and had a pretty hard life before this as well. It was definitely a defining moment in my life, and an absolute blessing to have met Danny. He is an inspiration to me to never give up. He is an amazing person, with a big heart. I got pictures, autographs and memories I will never forget for the rest of my time here on earth. The concert was absolutely amazing and I couldn't have asked for a better day, or a better experience. Nothing will ever compare to meeting Danny Gokey and getting to hang out with him during sound check, and everything that happened that day. I hope I get to see him again down the line if he ever comes back to Tampa. If not, this is something I will never forget and it has changed my life.

My daughter and I recently purchased VIP tickets for Sugarland Concert with Danny performing. (mainly got them because it was the closest concert to us that Danny was performing) the concert is in Saratoga Springs, NY on June 11,2010. Although I do not see on Danny's site that he will be perfoming there. I really hope that is not true. Can anyone tell me if he IS indeed perfoming there?? I really want to purchase A couple of M&G passes for my daughter and her friend! It would mean the world to her. On top of the fact that I already purchased the VIP tickets thinking it would get us back stage passes! LOL.... Can anyone tell I am on a mission!!

I hope Danny does M&Gs at his shows in May. I am seeing him in NJ May 15th and 22nd!

What a wonderful idea! I hope all the future Meet & Greets will become fund raising events for SHF. I have not had the opportunity to attend any shows since the Idol tour, nor have I had the opportunity to meet Danny, but I do have the pleasure of being a monthly donor to SHF and will continue to give whenever the opportunity arises. Hey, Danny, Just would like to let you know that my wife and I are attending your show at the Smoky Mountain Center for the Performing Arts in Franklin, NC on April 3. We can't wait! You have enlightened and inspired us like no other person ever has. Suffice to say that we adore you and you make our hearts feel great each time we hear you sing or even think about you and what you have accomplished. Words cannot say how glad we are that you are here on this earth with us. We are going to be in the third row on the left side (your stage right), wearing our Sophia's heart t-shirts, and you'll definitely see us, because I'm going to be waving my silver sharpie at you anytime you get near us and I'll have a sign that's going to say "We love you and please come down and hug my wife". She wants to hug you so bad, she can taste it. She is disabled in her back, and it is very hard for her to get around, but we would not miss this opportunity to see you perform for anything! We haven't been to a concert of any kind in 30 years, but I know it is going to be worth the wait. Each time we listen to you sing, we love you more and more! This world is very fortunate to have you on it, and I know God is going to see to it that you are rewarded. Please come down and sign our shirts and hug my wife. PLEASE!!! This will make her life 1000% more worth living, I know it. And as for me, I WANT to just shake your hand, hug you, and just tell you how glad I am that you are on this earth with us. You have been and will continue to be an inspiration divine for the both of us. This world is definitely a much better place with you here, and it desperately needs MORE people like you here.
