Danny Returns to American Idol on March 4!

Millions of viewers got to know Danny Gokey as a finalist on Season Eight of American Idol, and next week, he’ll not only celebrate the March 2 release of his debut album, My Best Days, but also a return to the Idol stage on March 4 for a performance of his feel-good single, “My Best Days Are Ahead of Me.”
Currently, “My Best Days Are Ahead of Me” is climbing the country airplay Top 40, and fans anxious to hear more of Danny’s new music have an exclusive chance to preview his album online now on the Rhapsody player at CMT.com.
Gokey’s American Idol performance is one part of a cross-country album release week filled with media and personal appearances beginning Monday in Washington, D.C., and rolling through Atlanta, San Jose, Los Angeles, and Minneapolis, before visiting Danny’s Milwaukee hometown on Saturday.
Fans can keep up with Danny’s appearance schedule online at dannygokey.com, where they can also pre-order My Best Days. The exclusive pre-order will include the CD, an instant download of “My Best Days Are Ahead of Me,” and an autographed CD booklet (while supplies last).

Hi, just joined the community here. I loved seeing Danny on American Idol this season and love the new album..One question: when will Danny be opening for Sugarland? Did I hear correctly that he was going to open for them on their tour? I have tickets to their first show of the tour but can find nothing about Danny opening for them...I would love to see both in one night...what a delight that would be! If anyone knows anything about this please let me know...Thanks...take care everyone..May the Lord bless you all real, real well......

It was great seeing Danny back on the American Idol stage. He did a great job! love the single and cant wait till i get to buy his album. unfortanutaly have to wait till payday lol but looking forward to it! Im also proud to wear my sophias heart foundation shirt and bracelet. if he ever comes to seattle, wa. again i'd love to have him sign it!

I was so pround of Danny,he did a great job on AI,one thing i noticed that i have never seen b4,danny seemed a little nervous,of course it did not effect his singing,he is a true artist who always rises to the task at hand.He is just precious and soooo................................ talented.I have all his performances recorded on my dvr,from his audition all the way to the finale,i really enjoy watching those performances,but i still wonder and really dont understand why he did not win,but really in the end he did.Keep on keeping on Danny,i was a fan the day u sang ur first note,you did find hope within a terrible tradgedy,but the fact is ur a very very good singer,your talent got u where u r,and your future is so bright its almost blinding,Sophia was {is} a very lucky lady and i know she is 4ever n your HEART,i love your foundation and how u continue to keep her memory alive,sorry got off track your appearence on idol was OUTSTANDING,love the song,love the entire cd,every song is beautiful and embedded w\a message,great job.kimberlyr4

I always loved Danny when he was on American Idol. I especially loved "You Are So Beautiful". I never liked the original, but his version was amazing...sent chills down my spine! I'm listening to it as I write this, and it absolutely brings tears to my eyes. Simon saying that what Danny did was a music masterclass was an understatement! Brilliant!!....Now he's back with a passion!! I love his newest song "My Best Days". I heard him sing it tonight on American Idol, and his enthusiasm both during the song and afterwards when he talked with Ryan was so infectious. I absolutely cannot wait to hear him in concert LIVE!! Danny, please please come to Houston, Texas. We are the "way down under" of the United States. Seems like few people I want to see come here!!!......Danny, you have a brilliant and long career ahead of you. No doubt, your best days are ahead of you. Lucky for us!!!! God bless you!!!

That's awesome, I can't wait to see him perform again. We all love you Danny and pray for you every day. We keep Sophia in our prayers and know with our whole hearts that she is smiling on you and watching over you. You own personal angel. You are truly gifted and blessed and I feel lucky to be able to watch you as your amazing journey begins. I live just outside Milwaukee and always hope you'll be in this area, but it's hard to get to you with so many thousands of fans.
