American Idol & More From Danny Today!

Gokey Delivers Spontaneous Performance for the University of Alabama Women’s Basketball Team.

With his debut album, My Best Days, released yesterday, 19 Recordings/RCA Nashville artist Danny Gokey is crossing the country in support of his album, and tomorrow, he’ll make a welcome return to the American Idol stage for a performance of his irresistible single, “My Best Days Are Ahead of Me.”

Yesterday, Gokey celebrated his album release in and around Atlanta, GA, where a day of TV, radio, and an in-store appearance was capped by an impromptu performance for the University of Alabama women’s basketball team. Members of the team, in town for an SEC tournament game, spotted Danny dining in the same restaurant and asked if he might sing for them. In good-natured style, and with the blessing of restaurant management and fellow diners, Danny’s band grabbed their gear and delivered a performance and autographs on the spot.

In addition to his American Idol performance tomorrow, fans can be on the lookout for Danny in non-restaurant settings in the days to come, including a Thursday CD signing at Barnes & Noble’s The Grove location at 7:30 PM in Los Angeles, and on Friday, Gokey will offer a performance and CD signing at the Mall of America in Bloomington, MN, at 6 PM.

Keep up with Danny’s appearance schedule anytime at www.dannygokey.com.

Catch Danny’s American Idol guest performance on the live results show Thursday, March 4 (8:00-9:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) on FOX.

I always prefer to read theUGG Bailey Button quality content and this thing I found in you post. It's a very nice article for me.Thanks for sharing.

Danny, I just read "Letting Go" on Sophia"s Heart web site. I gave it to my husband because he has been going though so much lately and it has really has inspired him.

We are looking forward to seeing you in Orlando Florida on April 10, 2010 at the House of Blues. We love your new album. I wish the country station K 92 FM here would play you song. Maybe we will start hearing it soon, everyone needs to hear it in this ecomony.
God Bless,
Elaine Anderson

Totally loved your performance, and have always liked your trademark glasses, but the ones you were wearing are way too large for you. You are a great looking guy, but those glasses were a huge!! Good luck in your career, love your music.

Congratulations Danny! You sounded fantastic on AI Thursday night. Listening to you was the highlight of the night! Country music suits you. Touring with Sugarland - sounds like lots of fun. Great to see your spirits so high. Keep it up. You deserve everything good. I hope someday you can give us a concert in New York, maybe at the Nassau Colliseum or Madison Square Garden! Love to see you there someday. Have fun. Mary

I am a great fan of yours Danny...please please please tell me that you are going to come to Melbourne Australia to perform? Would love to hear you sing live sometime soon. xo

BIG country music fan, I love the variety of country artists out there right now. Just got my CD of Danny's new songs, really loving it.
Was in Nashville the week Danny visited the Opry and had a chance to see him live, what a great job. Crowd loved him, and the hosts gave him a great reception. So glad to see Danny happy and out doing what he loves as a recording artist.

I was a fan of yours on AI, bud....but for you to go country is a stretch, you don't have a country bone in your body....I am a ranch raised guy in TX, been listening to country music all my life, my dad was in a country band for 38 years....YOU are not a country artist....I know that country is an easy IN....but, man....don't just jump in here to make a quick million....we have too many of them already, OK. Country music has been whitewashed by guys/gals like you for a few years....go the John Mayer route, etc....but don't dilute country music....it's diluted enough....c'mon man, you must have a great publicist/promoter, but PLEASE don't do the country music easy route....good luck to you man....

After watching the outstanding performance by you last night on AI Congrats !
The choice for Country was a perfect fit for You,may you have as many years as you like
performing and making us Happy ! Thank You from Hartford Wisconsin !

Hi Danny....I just watched your AI performance, and you were fantastic!!! I love the song, words and melody, and you really knocked it out of the park! Sugarland are so good, and they always seem to be having a great time performing...it's contagious. What a great way for you to start out your concert career. The very best to you in all you do, and don't loose that enthusiasm you were apologizing for....it is totally refreshing! Also, I can see a duet with Carrie Underwood in your future. Made in the USA!!!!!!

I am really excited for Danny and the decision to gear towards country music. He sounds great and he has been my favorite from the first moment I saw him on the show! It was awesome to see him perform last night. Just wish he was coming somewhere closer to my area! Louisville, KY LOVES Sugarland and Danny G!! Hope he makes it with them when they come in August to the KY State Fair!!! Love you Danny!!

a grandmother.

I watched your performance on American Idol.... what a fabulous song and you delivered it beautifully as usual! Thanks for being such a great inspiration and positive role model... my teenage girls loved that song too! Wonderful Smile

OMG just saw you on Idol and the song (and you of course) are amazing. I lost my husband to cancer in July and am still suffering ,but that song coming from you is such an inspiration to me and the timing is perfect. Last year when we were watching you together on Idol I had no idea I'd be watching you alone this year. Still can't believe it, but I am so happy for you. This album will be huge and country is definitely where you belong!! Great job and thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Breathtaking song ! What a tribute, taking NOTHING from your late wife. She has to be so proud and with you always. And how applicable it is to so many, and yes, me. Had plans this evening and would have missed seeing you on American Idol, but plans changed and I believe for a reason. Will have that CD before the end of the day tomorrow. CAN'T WAIT. Looking forward to more of you !

Totally missed Danny in Atlanta!!! We live in the area and just figured out from Idol (I think!) that he is opening for Sugarland at Verizon on 8/5 --- is this true? I just bought tickets hoping so! Love Sugarland and Love Danny, but Danny was the instigator for that purchase! I am giving the tickets to my husband for birthday surprise ---- is Danny doing any sort of side appearacne or special thing for the fans on or before the concert? hard to tell from the event pages and sugarland's site doesn't say.....
